Elton John - The Million Dollar PianoWith a successful career that has lasted more than 40 years, Elton John is a favorite of fans in his native Great Britain, as well as the United States and the rest of the world. His career has survived many ups and downs in the pop music scene, including the influence of the Beatles and Brit pop in the 1970s. Both on record and on stage, Sir Elton is a legend who is popular with younger and older fans alike. 35 of his albums have gone gold and 25 are certified platinum, and he has won several Grammy awards, as well as a Tony for Aida and an Academy Award for Best Original Song, for “Can You Feel the Love Tonight?” from The Lion King. Elton John began a new series of Las Vegas Shows at the Colosseum at Caesars Palace in September 2011, which had several shows in September and October and is scheduled to resume in February 2012. His previous concert series, called The Red Piano, was so wildly successful that it ran for 241 performances and five years, instead of the planned 75 performances over three years. The Million Dollar Piano, which draws its name from the amazing instrument that Yamaha has spent four years creating for the singer, is planned to run for three years, with the first sixteen performances, beginning on September 28 and lasting through most of October, already on the calendar. Elton John and his band will perform many of their most famous hits, and the singer’s flair and lively personality on stage often have the fans singing and dancing in the aisles throughout the show. This latest Elton John show is sure to be very popular with fans, so be sure to buy your Elton John tickets well in advance.
